No more "Shudda-Wudda-Cudda's".. the time for change is NOW!

I used to wonder how my life would have turned out, had I made different choices along the way. However, I had to stop living in the “ shudda-wudda-cudda ’s” and embrace the life that I’m in. We can all take the lives we’re living and create the life that we truly desire to have  if we’re not satisfied with our present circumstances . If we still have breath in our bodies and a desire to change, then  NOW  is a perfect time for us to pursue new opportunities. Although we may encounter obstacles on the road to our new destinations, we know that’s what helps build our character along the way. No matter how difficult the road to change is, if we want something bad enough, we usually give up our excuses and work extra hard to obtain those goals.

Seasons change and so should we:

Ecclesiastes 3:1…   For everything there is a season, A time for every activity under heaven… Sometimes when it feels like we’re bearing the weight of the world on our shoulders, it can seem as if whatever we’re facing at that moment is never going to change. We feel like we’re stuck and don’t really know how to move from that place. There have been times in my life when I’ve stayed in difficult seasons longer than I should have because I didn’t quite understand how to navigate through them. However, once I passed through those trying times, I found myself in a better place mentally & spiritually because of the transformation that took place within. As we move through these transforming times, we understand that  change  is inevitable and it’s absolutely necessary for our advancement. Times change, people change, circumstances change. Change is all around us and it’s never ending. Sometimes it’s intentional and other times we have no control over it. Change almost always brings a

Your Talents are Gifts that benefit others

When I think of a gift, I think of something given to me that I’m not expecting to receive. When I think of a Talent, I think of a skill or a natural ability that I possess. I do understand that all my Talents are gifts from God. Sometimes people are surprised when others acknowledge their talents. I’ve even heard people minimize the effectiveness that their talent(s)   might  have in another person’s life. I believe that when we embrace and begin to nurture our talents, that’s when we start to fully appreciate and become comfortable sharing them with the world and that’s when the world benefits. I’m sure that we’ve all had talents that sometimes go unnoticed because we’ve not taken the time to develop them. The beauty in each of us is that we all have something uniquely different to offer the world no matter how small or insignificant   we   may think it is. Just remember that when   we   share that little piece of   ourselves,   it could be a game changer in someone else’s world.

Feelings of Inferiority

The other day I was reflecting on something that used to stifle my growth. It’s something that I see a lot of people struggle with today. It’s feelings of inferiority. When I see people living this way, it deeply saddens me because I understand what they’re going through. As I researched this subject, I read where the complexes of inferiority that we face come from three main areas:  worry, guilt and anger . I learned that when we  worry , that’s what brings on feelings of inadequacy.  We can then become paralyzed by our own fears and start developing feelings of inferiority.  Worrying  was one of the complexes that I struggled with for so long and  guilt  was another. I read where people begin to wonder if something is wrong with them when they feel guilty for their actions or attitudes. When I read that statement, it sounded crazy to me but that’s exactly how I used to feel, so I know that feeling firsthand. Then there was  anger . The example provided was of someone being unable to

Sharing the gift of YOU...

Have you ever thought about how  you  affect the world? You do know that you don’t have to be well known to affect the world, right? Your gifts don’t have to be something elaborate to make a difference in someone else's life. It can be something as simple as modeling compassion and expressing that to someone in their time of need. And guess what? You can start right where you are, with what you already have. You don’t have to be a celebrity to make contributions to society, ya know? Depending on your relationship with a person, you can actually influence people that others cannot. Did you realize that? Who knows? You can affect change in more lives than you could ever imagine, just by being yourself and  sharing the gift of YOU .
